I’m now convinced that writing is a spell. If you’ve been following along in my blogging journey then you know that in my Stepping into Year 25 post I had plans on moving out and getting my own place some time during May or June 2020. Well, it turns out that an amazing opportunity presented itself and things sped up much faster than I anticipated - hence me actually moving out.

I expected myself to be full of joy and excitement (it comes in spurts) but I’ve been thinking of my family more than ever. If you know me personally you know that I’m extremely close to my immediate family, I’m not sure how it’s going to feel not waking up and saying good morning to my mom or going to bother my brother before I go to sleep. For one thing I know it’s going to feel super funny.

On the other hand, I am looking forward to decorating my new digs in my own creative way. I’ve been drawn to tons of gold accents for some reason I know the color palette will be grey, stone (my new fav) and hints of gold / brass accents. I also want semi good amount of greenery (fake plants because I don’t know if I have a green thumb). Additionally, due to my new apartment being a small space (studio) I want to really begin practicing minimalism I don’t want the area to be cluttered but I am going for a soft and cozy feel.

There is something so comforting about living in a new space for me. I’m no stranger to moving but for this go round it feels different, I’m envisioning my life different. I feel incredibly blessed and it feels really good.

Please let me know any tips on adjusting to living on your own or any decor stores you recommend that I’m not familiar with. I would loooove to hear all about it.

If you want an apartment tour or have questions about the process of getting your own place or anything please let me know :)
