What's In My Beach Bag

This past weekend, my family from Virginia surprised us all and came to New Jersey. As a family we love going to the Jersey Shore all together. To prep for the big day (Saturday 7/4) we packed up two coolers filled with fresh fruit including mangoes, pineapple, strawberries, honeydew melon and green seedless grapes! We also packed some bagel thins, juice. water and more! It was the perfect beach day. If you know me you are well aware that I am a big fan of traveling light - it felt like we brought the perfect amount of food and drinks for all to enjoy. Before we hop into what was in my bag, can we just take a moment to talk about how good these Jersey waters were looking. Briah and I couldn’t stop talking about how clear and blueish the water was. It was certainly a sight to see!

Protection

When I say I traveled light, I can’t emphasize it enough! I packed this beautiful picnic blanket that I picked up last year at Target from the Hearth and Hand Collection along with Sun Bum sunscreen, it was a little pricey not going to lie ($14.99) but after the day I do believe it was worth the cost!

Entertainment

For my birthday (June 19th) I was gifted this wonderful book by none other than Victoria (she’s the best-est gift giver!) I started this book last week and it’s already shifting my mindset which is always a great thing. If you would like to read along you can find the book here.

After splish splashing in the water, we headed back to our social distanced area, packed up and grabbed some boardwalk regulars before we headed back up the parkway. My all time favorite is funnel cake! To me it just tastes like summer and after the first 6 months of 2020 I really needed it lol.

Well I hope you enjoyed this blog post and get ready for a WHOLE lot more. See you next time. In the comments below, let me know what you typically pack in your beach bag!
