Single Girl's Guide to Valentine's Day

This one goes out to all my single ladies…

I figured I would post a late night blog post specifically for the single women whose currently curled up on the couch or bed scrolling their life away (hey girl!). First of all, I hope you aren’t sad or wishing that you had a bae to enjoy this night with - I’m giving you the perfect guide on how to get through tonight and this weekend. Get up and pour a glass of wine, make a pot of tea (Love by Pukka is really good!) and let’s get into it!

A Good Night’s Rest + Manifestation

Today may have been emotionally hard, if it wasn’t that’s great! In the event that it was have no fear a better night is near. My suggestion is to play soothing music whether it be Ella Mai or classic jazz ballads which ever will ease your mind turn it on at a medium volume (no need to turn up quite yet haha); this is going to help set the perfect ambience. Next, light a candle my favorite right now is No. 3 Renew & Refresh it instantly relaxes me. Once of music and candles are lit I like to take a hot shower using the best night time wash ever Sleep, it truly puts me to sleep I swear! After the bath, coming back into my room with the music playing and candles lit I reach for my Elle Vie and grab my journal. In the middle of my bed, I lay out all my cute pens and notebooks/journals and I plan. I mean I plan e v e r y t h i n g, from what I want my future house to look like to how I want my marriage to operate, I’ve even started a date night list so when my Mr. enters my life we have a slew of adventures to go on. Doing this keeps my spirit high and hopeful, when my fingers get tired I’m already in place to drift off into the perfect dream. (This is done at least 3 times out the week for me, it keeps me balanced.)

Pedicure Somewhere Fancy

Last week I got the chance to go to a really fancy new nail salon in Metuchen, New Jersey called Mani Me. I pampered myself to a pedicure and it was quite the experience, the place is VERY NIAJAH and I’ll definitely go back. I felt unbothered to say the least and my toes came out really pretty too! During drying time my pedicurist even gave me a shoulder massage. If you’re in the area I highly suggest checking this place out.

Movie Night Out

I can’t wait to head to the movies (maybe this weekend, maybe not) to see What Men Want with Taraji P. Henson, I’m a sucker for a good chick flick, I encourage you to do the same. Also, if you’ve never gone to the movies by yourself this may be the perfect weekend to do so it truly is a liberating experience. I have mustered up the strength to go out to eat on my lonesome but hey you never know what can happen.

I hope these simple suggestions get’s your wheels turning and you cherish this time you have with your self, there isn’t anyone in the world whose going to love you like you love you so be stingy with your time. Do all of the things your heart desires and if you don’t know what that is, spend this good single time researching it! It took me a while to be comfortable with been single for such a long time (5 years and counting) but now I rejoice in knowing that I only have me to think about right now, it’s nice to daydream about what that relationship might be or when it might come but for now I’m living on my terms.

Sleep tight beautiful
